The iTWO™ series comprises robust, easy-to-use, complete systems for high-speed non-contact liquid handling. It offers enormous flexibility and is suitable for a variety of laboratory applications, ranging from R&D to LC-MALDI MS. These intuitively designed systems enable spotting in different volume ranges, from pl up to ml.

The systems can be equipped with many different targets (MALDI or glass slides), automated target and microarray imaging software and a 2D or 3D imaging system for accurate positioning and droplet volume determination within a high-end production enclosure.

More about the iTWO™ LC-MALDI

The instrumentTWO LC-MALDI is designed for offline LC-MALDI MS and MS/MS workflows. The fraction collection is controlled by a TTL or shortcut signal triggered by the LC software, and it starts to work on demand either immediately or after a defined waiting time or task completion.

At the outlet of the dispensing tip, the effluent of the LC is mixed with a small volume of the second liquid (matrix solution or other liquid) and then jointly ejected as a controlled series of tiny droplets, which are spotted on the MALDI target. To enhance better detection sensitivity and maintaining chromatographic resolution, the droplets can be dispensed to a different position (one droplet, one fraction) or collected over a defined period of time on the same position. The minimum droplet volume is 10 nL.

The new version of the iTWO™ LC-MALDI allows the end user to dispense the LC fractions via the MALDI-T-connector or replace this connector by with one of our Triple-Jet dispensers (link) for further dispensing possibilities.

instrumentTWO LC-MALDI is controlled by software which is easily guides the user through target layouts, spotting patterns, fraction collection modes, definition of additional workflows and task queuing for collection of multiple LC runs. Additionally, the software is compatible with all LC instruments and MALDI mass spectrometers. Password protected user profiles can be created to separate the work of multiple users.
