The iTWO™ series comprises robust, easy-to-use, complete systems for high-speed non-contact liquid handling. It offers enormous flexibility and is suitable for a variety of laboratory applications, ranging from R&D to production. These intuitively designed systems enable spotting in different volume ranges, from pl up to ml.

The systems can be equipped with many different targets, automated target and microarray imaging software and a 2D or 3D imaging system for accurate positioning and droplet volume determination within a high-end production enclosure.

More about the iTWO™-400

The instrumentTWO-400 is a versatile non-contact liquid handling system with a high and flexible capacity for source and targets. The system is designed for high production capacity on glass slides, MTPs, nitrocellulose membrane and microfluidics. It has a high-end, industrial environmental enclosure for ultimate climate control (humidity, temperature, DEW point control with monitoring software) and a HEPA filter. The instruments are optionally equipped with cooling and heating units, humidity and CO2 control, UV lamp, ionizers and a piercer.

The iTWO™-400 is available with Triple-Jet technology, which combines three different micro-dispensing technologies in one instrument. These are:

  • The Piezo Driven Micro-Dispenser (PDMD) for ultra-low pL up to nL applications
  • The Solenoid Valve Driven Micro-Dispenser (SDMD) for nL up to mL applications
  • The new M2-Dispenser (M2MD) with a shockwave generator and a modulator with a broad range of available dispensing tips made from glass, stainless steel or disposable plastic tips for avoiding carry-over.

All M2MDs can be equipped with a cartridge vessel for bulk dispensing, a degasser and temperature control for maximum reproducibility and high volume accuracy.

instrumentTWO-400 is controlled by easy-to-use software with real-time imaging and droplet observation. The software is largely image-based and reflects the instrument layout, providing a self-explanatory systematic workflow for creating custom-specific experiments. Password protected user profiles can be created to separate the workflow of multiple users.
